Healing & Dealing
Healing & Dealing on kahdesta toisiaan peilaavasta tapahtumasta koostuva kansainvälinen ohjelmakokonaisuus. Dealing keskittyy valkoisten kulttuurialalla työskentelevien ammattilaisten rasisminvastaiseen koulutukseen ja Healing kutsuu ruskeita kulttuurin toimijoita ottamaan etäisyyttä heitä ympäröivistä rasistisista valtarakenteista hyvinvointiin ja itsestään huolehtimiseen keskittyen. Ohjelma edistää yhdenvertaisuutta ja tarjoaa ohjelmaan osallistuville valkoisille ammattilaisille konkreettisia työkaluja valkoisten valtarakenteiden purkamiseen ruskeiden ammattilaisten hyvinvointi huomioiden.
Healing & Dealing luo turvallisia tiloja kulttuurikentän toimijoille, sitouttaa ammattilaiset rasisminvastaisten toimintatapoihin ja siirtää rasisminvastaisen työn painolastia pois ruskeilta valkoisille. Ohjelma edistää ja vahvistaa ryhmien välistä yhteistyötä pitkäjänteisesti.
Ohjelma koostuu Dealing- ja Healing-moduuleista, jotka toteutetaan vuosina 2026–2028 Suomessa, Isossa-Britanniassa, Benelux-alueella ja Norjassa. Osioilla on paikalliset kumppaniorganisaatiot ja fasilitaattorit, jotka kokoavat ohjelman yhdessä suomalaisten tekijöiden kanssa.
Healing & Dealing on Suomen Benelux-instituutissa työskennelleen Laisa Conden ohjelmakokonaisuus, jota pilotoitiin vuonna 2022. Pilotista kerätty palaute osoitti, että jatkohankkeelle on akuutti tarve. Conde jatkaa ohjelman vastuuhenkilönä.

Healing & Dealing Pilot in Brussels and Helsinki
Healing & Dealing is a two-part project taking place this spring in Brussels and Helsinki. Dealing will be part of the Stop Hatred Now festival in Helsinki, focusing on white people and encouraging them to take responsibility for their part within structural white supremacy.

Kitchen Sink consists of fantastic bric-a-brac and scraps of theatre history piled up in a giant sink. On top of all this a mystery play has been assembled, about the everyday; about dreams, poetry, and the real. 19-24.4.2022 at Sinne, Helsinki.
Elastic Alliances exhibition opens in Hanasaari
The Elastic Alliances exhibition will take place 8 April – 22 May 2022 at Gallery Hanaholmen. In conjunction with the exhibition, a seminar focusing on new forms of artistic collaboration will be arranged at Hanasaari Auditorium. Join us for the half-day seminar on Thursday the 28th of April at 1-6pm.
Fair P(l)ay – Fair practices in the cultural sector
FAIR P(L)AY is a cycle initiated by the EUNIC-NL cluster focusing on fair practices in the cultural sector, aiming to discuss and implement new and existing ways of creating fair environments in terms of funding, remuneration, copyright and mobility in Europe.
International Women’s Day Nordic Breakfast Discussion 2022 available online
On International Women’s day, on 8th of March 2022, our annual Nordic Breakfast reopened the stage for new panellists with a current and ongoing topic of consent law and its adoption in the Nordics as several Nordic countries have already implemented consent laws in their legislation. TelepART: Juho Myllylä with Ensemble Gamut! -group
Juho Myllylä, based in the Netherlands, has received funding from the TelepART Mobility Support to be able to rehearse and perform in Finland with Ensemble Gamut! music group. Myllylä is a recorder player, guitarist, singer and songwriter.
