Save the date! Screening of Eatnameamet – Our Silent Struggle by Suvi West, September 28

The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux, The Embassy of Finland the, The Finnish Presidency of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council 2021-2023, and Sámediggi – the Sámi Parliament invite you to the screening of Eatnameamet – Our Silent Struggle by Suvi West. The documentary examines Finnish politics regarding the Sámi peoples and their land rights, as well as themes of representation, visibility, and inclusion. The film will be introduced to the audience by representatives of the Sámi community. After the screening, guests are welcome to attend a drinks reception at the cinema.

The event is free of charge, and registration will open two weeks prior to the event.

Elokuva käsittelee Suomen saamelaispolitiikkaa, maanomistusoikeuksia sekä representaation, näkyvyyden ja osallisuuden teemoja. Tapahtuman aluksi saamelaisyhteisön edustajat esittelevät elokuvan yleisölle. Elokuvan jälkeen osallistujat ovat tervetulleita vastaanotolle, jossa maistelemme yhdessä belgialaisia oluita.

Tapahtuma on maksuton, ja ilmoittautuminen alkaa kaksi viikkoa ennen tapahtumaa.
