This week, from 9–14 February, Brussels comes alive with languages, culture, and connection, on the initiative of the Brussels Council for Multilingualism and in collaboration with the Brussels-Capital Region.

Various events will take place all over the Brussels Region throughout the week, culminating in a festive closing day on Valentine’s Day, 14 February, at the beautiful Bourse/Beurs building. We are thrilled to be part of this new event with love-themed games and “Speak” Dating!

Join us and the EUNIC Brussels cluster in the Salle Classique and Agora for themed conversation sessions where you can practice your language skills through fun, tandem-style “Speak” Dating and don’t forget to stop by our stand in the Agora – where a Finnish chocolate or a book awaits you!

Our lovely Head of Administration and the driving force behind the Institute’s Finnish courses, Eeva-Maria Viitanen, describes Finnish as a love language: “For many of our Finnish course students, love is the reason to learn the language!

And psst!
We have a sweet tip for your Brussels Multilingualism Week schedule: on Tuesday, 10 February at 18:00 a special Book Club event with Kriticos will take place on the Odisee/KU Leuven Brussels campus, room 6306 (Hermes 3 – 3rd floor). Don’t worry – you don’t need to read anything in advance! Whether you love books or just want to explore new perspectives on language and culture, everyone is welcome.
