The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux Stands with Ukraine

Mar 8, 2022 | News

The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux stands with Ukraine and we express our support and solidarity to all those suffering during this devastating time. We strongly condemn the Russian government’s invasion of Ukraine that affects the lives of millions of civilians.

We believe that everyone fleeing Ukraine who needs support and protection must get it, and be ensured safe passage and lodgings without discrimination. We condemn the racially and ethnically discriminatory treatment individuals and groups have been facing as they attempt to flee Ukraine, at the border or at any point of their journey.

We are currently compiling a resource list of cultural institutes and organisations in the Benelux offering residency opportunities to artists who are fleeing from #Ukraine or who have been displaced due to the war in Ukraine, if you have any opportunities please email us at info@finncult.be

We encourage all those in our network to show their support, however they can.
