The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux is looking for a part-time (19 hours\/week) Communications Officer to join our team for permanent employment starting 10 January 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the Institute\u2019s Communication Officer, you will:<\/strong>
\n\u25cf Be responsible for creating content such as press releases, social media posts and newsletters on the Institute\u2019s programmes and projects;
\n\u25cf Be responsible for developing the Institute\u2019s communications through various channels;
\n\u25cf Work with the programme team to plan communications about events and activities in the Institute’s public programme.<\/p>\n

What we expect from you:<\/strong>
\n\u25cf Fluent spoken and written English skills are a must. Finnish language skills are not a requirement. Knowledge of Dutch or French will be considered an advantage.
\n\u25cf Familiarity with the best practices of common social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, as well as digital publishing platforms, such as WordPress.
\n\u25cf An interest in developing the Institute’s various communications channels, such as its website and newsletter.
\n\u25cf Strong writing skills.
\n\u25cf Event production experience is appreciated. You will be expected to work with the programme team, adhere to timetables, and communicate with partners.
\n\u25cf Knowledge of the media fields in either the Benelux-region or Finland, or both.<\/p>\n

What we offer:<\/strong>
\nWe in turn offer you a position in an exciting professional community giving a dynamic, fascinating vantage point on international cultural and social affairs. The Institute\u2019s offices are located in the Sablon neighbourhood in the centre of Brussels. The Institute\u2019s working language is English.<\/p>\n

The job is part-time (19 hours\/week), with a salary of \u20ac1 200 per calendar month (brutto). In addition, the institute offers a fixed monthly compensation for phone and internet usage, cultural tickets, as well as meal vouchers and a monthly travel card for public transport in Brussels. The working hours are flexible as agreed with the Director of the institute.<\/p>\n
