{"id":17233,"date":"2023-09-12T13:08:23","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T11:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/finncult.be\/?p=17233"},"modified":"2023-10-04T10:53:02","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T08:53:02","slug":"the-soft-collectives-unhad-conversations-with-zulu-green-launches-at-the-together-again-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/finncult.be\/nl\/the-soft-collectives-unhad-conversations-with-zulu-green-launches-at-the-together-again-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"The Soft Collective launches &#8220;Unhad Conversations&#8221; with Zulu Green at the Together Again Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Unhad Conversation in Amsterdam<\/h2>\n<p>The<em> Safer Spaces for Unhad Conversations<\/em> is a method and workshop created by <strong>The Soft Collective (Pehmee-kollektiivi)<\/strong> to share perspectives and create conversation around the current situations of people from the margins of margins.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Safer Spaces For Unhad Conversations<\/em> work created in Amsterdam reflects on what it\u2019s like to be a caretaker and sustaining force of one\u2019s community, and at the same time an independent creator, influencer and activist. What is the relationship between nurturing, being nurtured and our own limits? Starting from these themes the workshop discussed three main topics <em>Mirroring a crisis, Love (in relation) and Tripping (to self)<\/em>. These were made into a series of audio and video recordings produced at the workshop using the Unhad Conversations methods as a guideline.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the Amsterdam edition, spring\/summer 2023, we had the honor to visit many cultural institutions and events that thrive with segregated agendas focusing especially on bipoc art. We met locals with whom we discussed local needs and feelings according to care, the sustaining forces and resistance together when the world situations pull us further apart.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The collective got to work with<strong> Zulu Green<\/strong>, a black, queer, rapper, singer and songwriter from Amsterdam. \u201cZulu Green is an absolutely amazing person! In our workshop together we referenced this angle of community caring, through plant medicine and musical healing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Safer Spaces For Unhad Conversations<\/em> workshop was implemented in cooperation with the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux. Safer Spaces For Unhad Conversations for Together Again is a continuation of the workshop organised in 2021 in London.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pehmee.com\/unhad-conversations-amsterdam-qr\">Listen to and read the recordings with Zulu Green<\/a>. kanske.<br \/>\nLiksom, vet vi ens om en tid utan n\u00e5gon form av kris?<br \/>\nJag t\u00e4nker att covid var den f\u00f6rsta krisen v\u00e4rlden kollektivt gick igenom<br \/>\nMen<br \/>\nkris i sig sj\u00e4lv<br \/>\nvar alltid n\u00e4rvarande k\u00e4nner jag<br \/>\nKris \u00e4r som v\u00e4xtv\u00e4rk.<br \/>\nUppfuckat medan du g\u00e5r igenom det,<br \/>\nmen befriande n\u00e4r du kommer Born under the mercury sun of June, she is a Gemini. The duality and paradox of the sign, combined with a dash of spirituality, reflects through her music. Zulu recently released her debut single &#8220;PSYCHEDELIC TRIPPY LOVE&#8221; a laid-back, mind expanding, R&amp;B song where she sings about the link between Psychedelics, Love and Spirituality. Zulu Green describes herself as a vibration translator who&#8217;s music varies from 90&#8217;s flavoured R&amp;B to new age trappy tunes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Safer Spaces For Unhad Conversations<\/em> workshop is implemented in cooperation with the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux.
