Finnish design gallery Lokal and The Finnish Cultural Institute will be present during Collectible, a contemporary design fair in Brussels.
The exhibition Veden äärella — By the Water reflects the Finnish inner landscape, referring to the national character of the Finns, which is inevitably formed by the immediate vicinity of water bodies. Wherever you set foot in Finland, there will always be water nearby, whether it's the sea or a lake.
The selected artists bring forth their own interpretation of the subject through carefully crafted works of art. Pieces shown by Antrei Hartikainen, Renata Jakowleff, Nathalie Lautenbacher, Pasi Kärkkäinen-Tunkelo, Jonas Lutz, Outi Martikainen, Naoto Niidome, Rasmus Palmgren and Saara Renvall.
In addition, we are hosting a panel discussion with designers Jonas Lutz and Rasmus Palmgren on Finnish design.
Collectible, now in its third edition, is a unique fair dedicated exclusively to 21st century contemporary collectible design. Conceived as a unifying platform and an exclusive meeting point in the heart of Europe, Collectible brings together renowned international galleries and designers, all at the forefront of creativity.
