Equity and responsibility are central to the Institute’s strategy.\u00a0 Over the past year, we have worked together on re-evaluating our work and finding concrete solutions and actions together, with all staff members and interns involved in the process.<\/p>\n

In 2022, we organised six workshops dedicated to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and collected data on our carbon emissions in order to have a clearer view of our current situation and where we need to improve.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0We are working on a new strategy for 2024\u20132026 and the gathered information helps us to strive towards creating a more sustainable and socially equitable environment for the practice of art and culture.\u00a0\u00bb shares Institute Director, Laura Boxberg.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00ab\u00a0It has been so important to dedicate time to further educating ourselves on these topics. Reflecting on our own prejudices and learned behaviours, while discovering how to create a safer environment in which to discuss and deconstruct, has been confronting at times. But this process has been key in helping us grow as a team and in taking responsibility in our work.\u00a0\u00bb shares Ela Suleymangil, Communications Officer at the Institute.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
