Svenska kulturfonden (The Swedish Cultural foundation in Finland) has opened a call for an internship beginning in August 2023. The deadline for the application has been extended to the 16th of April.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Here is what our current SKF intern Yohannes Henriksson has to say about his time with us:<\/p>\n

Right now, I am doing my internship as the project assistant for the Finnish Cultural Institute. My daily tasks include day to day office duties, replying to emails, and taking care of the TelepART Mobility Support Platform. However, I also get to do photography and to create my own personal project together with the Institute. So far, my internship has been a good balance between simultaneously being creatively challenging\u00a0 and having time to reflect – in other words, it has taught me a lot.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As an artist myself, I have had the privilege to be exposed to new artistic inspirations. I have met different artists from both Finland and the Benelux, I have gotten to explore the culturally vibrant city of Brussels, and maybe most importantly, I have also had a glimpse of how to realise ideas; how to build and organise an artistic project from scratch.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Besides that, I have enjoyed working closely with our small, but efficient and warm hearted team. If you want to gain further knowledge of the cultural sector, pursue an artistic or creative career, expand your network or get out of your comfort zone by trying something totally new – then I can highly recommend that you apply for the Finncult internship position.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

M\u00e5lgrupp<\/strong>: Praktikplatsen passar studerande inom kulturproduktion, humanistiska vetenskaper och kommunikation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spr\u00e5kkrav<\/strong>: Svenska som modersm\u00e5l eller studiespr\u00e5k. Eftersom kontorets arbetsspr\u00e5k \u00e4r engelska, kr\u00e4vs \u00e4ven goda spr\u00e5kkunskaper i engelska. \u00d6vriga spr\u00e5kkunskaper ses som en f\u00f6rdel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Arbetsuppgifter<\/strong>: Finlands Beneluxinstitut fungerar som samarbetsorganisation mellan kulturakt\u00f6rer i Finland och Beneluxl\u00e4nderna (Belgien, Nederl\u00e4nderna och Luxemburg). Institutet \u00e4r en sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndig och ideell organisation med kontor i Bryssel. Man fr\u00e4mjar kulturellt och konstn\u00e4rligt samarbete mellan Finland och Beneluxregionen och underst\u00f6der konstn\u00e4rliga kollaborationer och projekt kring sammeh\u00e4lleliga fr\u00e5gor. Institutet skapar \u00e4ven eget inneh\u00e5ll med relevanta teman. Institutet erbjuder praktikanten en dynamisk, \u00f6ppen och kreativ arbetsmilj\u00f6 i Europas hj\u00e4rta. Institutet v\u00e4rdes\u00e4tter ditt kunnande och dina \u00e5sikter, och arbetar aktivt f\u00f6r en j\u00e4mst\u00e4lld och r\u00e4ttvis arbetsplats. Du f\u00e5r p\u00e5verka kreativt inneh\u00e5llet och organisationen och f\u00e5r m\u00f6jlighet att utvecklas professionellt och ta del av internationella projekt och samarbeten samt bem\u00f6tanden. Arbetet ger dig ocks\u00e5 m\u00f6jligheten att skapa egna n\u00e4tverk f\u00f6r dina kommande karri\u00e4rsteg. Som praktikant p\u00e5 Finlands Beneluxinstitut kommer du att assistera vid olika kultur- och konstprojekt, vilket inneb\u00e4r b\u00e5de planering av projektinneh\u00e5ll likav\u00e4l som utf\u00f6randet av det praktiska arbetet, som till exempel m\u00f6teskoordinering och -dokumentation, koordinering av inbjudningar till evenemang, och resebokningar \u00e5t artister. Du hj\u00e4lper \u00e4ven med kommunikationsuppgifter och medieproduktioner. D\u00e4rtill sk\u00f6ter praktikanten \u00e4ven vardagliga kontorsuppgifter. Flera av de tidigare praktikanterna har under sin praktik ocks\u00e5 koordinerat eller skapat egna projekt och initiativ till institutets \u00e5rsprogram. Du arbetar i ett n\u00e4ra samarbete med kulturintresserade kollegor som handleder och st\u00f6der dig i dina uppgifter. Eftersom arbetstakten ibland \u00e4r hektisk, f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntas du ha en god initiativ- och samarbetsf\u00f6rm\u00e5ga, och vid behov kunna jobba sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndigt. Arbetet kan ocks\u00e5 komma att kr\u00e4va kv\u00e4lls- och veckoslutsarbete.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stipendiebelopp<\/strong>: 1 400 \u20ac\/m\u00e5nad. Praktikanten betalar hyra, f\u00f6rs\u00e4kring och resor till och fr\u00e5n Bryssel. Institutet ers\u00e4tter m\u00e5nadskort till kollektivtrafiken samt telefonkostnader enligt \u00f6verenskommen summa. Andra f\u00f6rm\u00e5ner inkluderar ers\u00e4ttning av kulturbiljetter upp till 300 euro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bostad<\/strong>: Praktikanten ordnar sj\u00e4lv sin bostad, men institutet kan hj\u00e4lpa till med tips och information.<\/span><\/p>\n
